The 2025 Proposed Book of Common Prayer is a revision of the American 1928 Book of Common Prayer. It retains the rich beauty and form of the 1928 BCP, changes only being made when truly expedient, and then still remaining within the Prayer Book Tradition.
Orthodox
Great effort has been made for the 2025 BCP to be an Orthodox BCP. Never before has anyone published a Book of Common Prayer for Orthodox use, proposed to the ecclesiastical authorities for review and ratification. We take to heart that counsel and blessings given by the Church over the last hundred years: retain the Catholic richness of the Anglican tradition.
