Meet the Editors
Augustine Watson
Chief EditorMr. J. P. Augustine Watson, MSt is committed to beauty in the worship of Our Lord. This led him to begin typesetting years ago, and it is his singular focus as the Chief Editor of Apologia Anglicana.
He lives with his wife, Photini, in Midcoast Maine. And he serves at the Reliquary Chapel in Rockland. He works for the growth of the Prayer Book Tradition within the Orthodox Church, both in the home and in the parish.
Augustine has published multiple books, chiefly the two editions of the 2025 Proposed Book of Common Prayer. He is a proud graduate of Davenant Hall, as well as a current student at the Antiochian House of Studies.
Ryan May
EditorMr. Ryan S. May is a member of St. Patrick Orthodox Church in Bealeton, VA. He is passionate about seeing western tradition brought back into the fulness of the faith.
Ryan has worked tirelessly on the 2025 Proposed Book of Common Prayer and the Saint Botolph’s Breviary. Having spent time in the Anglican tradition, he came to love unique peculiarities of its Daily Office and is excited to see it brought to its fulness through its connection with the wider Western tradition and its reception into the Orthodox Church.
He is looking forward to the role the publications of Apologia Anglicana can play in the spiritual lives of many Christians in the West searching for deeper roots.
